Topic: The Goju-Ryu mandatory kata and The International Goju CUP Kata Tournament.  This is the World Karate Federation requirement for competition in the Goju-Ryu Styles.

The Instructors: This seminar will be taught by internationally renowned instructors of the Japan Karate Federation Goju-Kai.

Mr. Akira Shiomi, 8th Dan, Master of masters, (Hanshi) is the Chief kata instructor of the Japan Karate Federation Goju-Kai.  Mr. Shiomi an 8th Dan in JKF as well as in JKF GOJUKAI.  Mr. Shiomi has coached three WKF World Champions. (Mr. Abe, Mr. Koyama, and Ms. Wakai).

Mr. Masataka Muramatsu, 8th Dan, Master of instructors (KYOSHI) is a member of the JKF Central Technical Committee.  Mr. Muramatsu was a senior student of Jundokan founder Master Eiichi Miyazato, 10th Dan (Hanshi), until the master's death in 1999.  Mr. Muramatsu is an executive member of the JKF GOJUKAI Board of Directors as well as Okinawan Goju-Ryu Kyokai.

Did you know that the JKF has new shitei Katas?  In this seminar you will be one of the first to learn the new JKF GojuKai Shitei Katas.  Seisan and Kururunfa are the new official mandatory katas in the JKF for Goju-Ryu.  (Hint - we expect the WKF will also adopt them as mandatory.)
